BSP Community Project Revitalises 9 Mile Urban Clinic

BSP Financial Group continues its unwavering commitment to supporting healthcare in local communities through its annual Community Projects.

The 9-Mile Urban Clinic was recently supported with facility upgrades, enhancing access and comfort for patients receiving vital medical care.

This clinic has been in operation since 2000, and has seen a significant growth in patient numbers over the years, serving communities such in 8 and 9 Mile, and as far as 14, 15, and 17 Mile, as well as remote areas like Laloki and Brown River. This surge in demand placed substantial strain on the clinic’s infrastructure, creating an urgent need for improvement.

In emphasising the importance of such community-driven projects, Mrs Laimo said this initiative reflects BSP’s ongoing investment in the well-being of communities. “Patients deserve a safe and comfortable environment while waiting for care and we are pleased our contribution brings added comfort to our patients.”

NCD PHA Director Curative Health Services, Dr Michael Dokup, in expressing his deep gratitude for BSP’s timely intervention said the improvements to the clinic has raised the standard of care provided at the clinic. “We are extremely thankful to BSP for stepping in and giving this facility the attention it needed. The upgrades have raised the standard of care we provide, and both patients and staff can feel the positive change,” Dokup said.
