About the Role
The position is based in Port Moresby and will report to the Manager Community Projects. The successful incumbent will be responsible for planning, organising and coordinating projects related activities ensuring that BSP is represented in activities and initiatives as part of BSP corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Key Deliverables
- Assist with the implementation of annual community projects that align with the strategic directives of the Group GM of Corporate Affairs & Community.
- Assist manage BSP’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in accordance with BSP guidelines and within the allocated budget.
- Coordinate the day-to-day activities of BSP community projects, ensuring they progress on schedule and remain within budget constraints.
- Maintain connections with community leaders, residents, local businesses, and partner organizations, promoting collaboration and engagement through community forums, workshops, and events.
- Assist in creating metrics for measuring project outcomes and impact, collect and analyze data to evaluate project effectiveness, and contribute to reports on project progress and impact for stakeholders.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and support the establishment of a reporting framework to track and share stakeholder feedback on project activities.
- Administer project budgets by ensuring proper allocation of resources, identifying funding opportunities (such as grants and sponsorships), and providing support in drafting proposals.
- Assist and identify potentially issues, provide advice for effectively managing issues and escalate to Manager Community Project as appropriate.
Essential Qualifications, Professional/Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Social Work, Public Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Good communications skill (written and verbal).
- Attention to details of project submissions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in project management tools and software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications..
- Good analytical skills.
- More than 3 years’ experience in in community development, project management, or corporate social responsibility roles, particularly in a community-focused setting.
- Experience in managing stakeholder issues for multiple projects.
- Experience in project monitoring & reporting.
