Associate Engineer Information Security

Position Details

About the Role:

BSP is looking for a proactive and technically skilled Associate Engineer Information Security to join our Security Operations Centre (SOC) team. This role is essential in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of BSP’s digital environment.

The successful candidate will assist the SOC team by monitoring and responding to potential security threats using various cybersecurity tools and technologies. You will help detect, report, and mitigate security incidents while supporting compliance and audit activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor computer networks for security threats using tools like SEIM, IDS, and DLP.
  • Raise and escalate security incidents as per the response plan.
  • Track compliance with internal security policies and procedures.
  • Assist with audit and regulatory reviews and documentation.
  • Follow up on internal/external recommendations to ensure implementation.
  • Maintain high standards of work ethics, confidentiality, and professional integrity.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a similar IT/security monitoring role.
  • Strong understanding of network and system security principles.
  • Ability to analyze and respond to real-time security threats.
  • Working knowledge of security tools and documentation practices.
  • Certification in COMPTIA Security+. (desirable)
  • Experience in firewall administration, antivirus systems, and incident management. (desirable)
  • Familiarity with privacy laws and security compliance frameworks. (desirable)
