School Fee Payments made easy with BSP Mobile Banking
BSP has seen a positive uptake of School Fee payments through BSP Mobile Banking #131 in the country recently.
BSP Group General Manager Retail, Paul Thornton said, 45% of the total school fee payments made via BSP Mobile Banking *131# were to Tertiary Institutes, 43% to Secondary Schools and 12% to Primary Schools indicating positive adoption by parents across Papua New Guinea.
Of 135 registered schools ,Divine Word University, Lihir High School, Kokopo Business College, Markham Valley High School and Kokopo Primary School are leading the way with contactless school fee payments via BSP Mobile Banking *131#.
Mr Thornton said School fee payments were added to BSP Mobile Banking *131# as a time saving option for parents to pay for school fees ensuring ease of reconciliation for schools, through auto receipting and remittance advices.
Many parents have found school fee payment through BSP Mobile Banking very convenient. One parent was Mrs Lynna Waho. In 2019, Mrs Waho, a parent at Jubilee Secondary School was able to pay for project fees instantly and seamlessly, from her phone.

BSP Mobile Banking *131# provides customers with a fast, easy and safe way to bank where and when they want 24/7. The service is free to access via any mobile phone handset and is available to Digicel, bmobile and Telikom subscribers.
