Kimbe Cutters Commend BSP for Local Talent Development
“We are grateful to BSP for being part of the local talent development, not only as a sponsor, but being part of the team’s progress through financial literacy trainings, new account opening and guiding the players in making wise financial decisions,” said Kimbe Cutters Vice President Sydney Nuli upon receiving the K100,000 cheque sponsorship from BSP Financial Group Limited (BSP) on Friday 7th May, 2021.
Mr Nuli thanked BSP for the three-year commitment in backing the team, which enabled the Kimbe Cutters to successfully participate in the PNG NRL Digicel Cup competition since 2019.
“Thank you BSP and we look forward to another challenging and better year in the Digicel Cup,” he said.
When presenting the cheque, BSP Kimbe Branch Manager Betty Posangat noted the bank’s motivation for supporting the franchise is aligned to one of BSP’s core value of ‘Community’.
“BSP as a key partner in the nation’s development invests in sports to help promote development of young local talents at provincial levels. We are proud to support the team at this level. The backing is an exciting way to be connected and responsive to the West New Britain community,” said Ms Posangat.
“We have a strong relationship with the local West New Britain community and partnerships such as this, are just one of the ways in which we demonstrate our support for the communities that we operate in,” added Ms Posangat.
“Apart from the this sponsorship, the BSP Kimbe Branch has also delivered 12 Community Projects to the value of K275,000 since 2009 and we will continue to support the communities in which we operate in.
Together with our BSP Bialla Branch, BSP’s total support in West New Britain is over K550, 000 in value for respective community projects handed over,” concluded Ms Posangat.
