BSP Financial Group Limited (BSP) as a community and people’s bank is pleased to give back to the community and assist children currently under the care of the Hope for Poor Kids Care Home at Hohola in Port Moresby.
Hope For Poor Kids Care Inc runs a care centre that caters for over 500 orphans and displaced children with essentials such as food and a home to stay, including education under its ‘Strengthen the Children Project’.
BSP Corporate Sponsorship Manager Amelia Minnopu said BSP is pleased to assist Hope For Poor Care Kids Inc with a donation of K30, 000 worth of food and essential supplies to assist continue operation of its Care Centre.
“Community and People are among our Core Values and we hope our donation will positively assist the children at the care centre,” Ms Minnopu added.
Hope for Poor Kids Care Inc Chairman Martin Piason in receiving the donation thanked BSP for the generous support saying the organisation’s greatest fear was challenges associated with Covid-19 affecting its operations.
“Thank you BSP for the timely donation, given at a time as we approach Christmas. As our bank and the people’s bank, BSP always supports our people and now our kids who are part of the community as well. It is a challenging time for many but we appreciate you for having the heart for the less fortunate and assisting through such donation. Its shows that BSP is the people’s bank,” Mr Piason added.
