BSP supports Enga Cultural Show
BSP Financial Group Limited (BSP) is proud to provide K30,000 in sponsorship to the much-loved Enga Cultural Show.
The Enga Cultural Show, running from Friday 11th August to Sunday 13th August, 2023, was established 29 years ago as a way to preserve traditional cultural knowledge and expressions, encouraging Engan people, both young and old, to continue to value, practice, preserve and uphold their traditional culture.
It has now become a major drawcard for visitors to the Province featuring sings sings, rituals, flora, and fauna from all over PNG.
“Our sponsorship not only entails the three-day show that continues to promote the unique cultures and traditions of the province, but we will also be part of the festival by providing essential banking services,” Clyde Sollie, BSP Wabag’s relieving branch manager said.

“Our support in Enga Province encompasses more than just being present at such festivals,” Mr Sollie said.
“Since 2009, BSP has sponsored 25 community projects through our Porgera and Wabag branches totalling K600,000. This has covered a range of activities through education, health, sports, and the environment.
“BSP is proud to play an important role in the community and we will continue to help our people wherever we can.”
Enga Cultural Show Organising Committee Spokesperson Margaret Potane thanked BSP for recognising the 29th Enga Cultural Show through the support of K30,000.
“BSP’s sponsorship is providing a positive image to the Enga Province, PNG and the world,” Margaret Potane, Enga Cultural Show organising committee spokesperson, said.
“This is the 29th Enga Cultural Show and with BSP being the only bank operating here, it shows that the Enga Province is doing fine and will continue to thrive,” Potane added.
