BSP serves K20,000 for Mt Hagen Cultural Show
BSP Financial Group Limited (BSP) presented a cheque worth K20,000 to the Mt Hagen Show committee on (Tuesday 10th August, 2021) to support the staging of the 61st edition of the Mt Hagen Cultural Show.
BSP Mt Hagen Branch Manager Theresa Pilamp presented the cheque to the show committee saying, “People and culture plays an integral part in strengthening community and business relationships. We like to grow with our community and invest in events like this to enhance our community relationships. ”
“BSP is a bank that promotes culture, people and small businesses and events that helps promote tourism while encouraging small businesses in the provinces to engage and expose their local products. We acknowledge that Mt Hagen, the Western Highlands Province, and the Highlands region are key contributors to PNG’s economy through the support of informal markets, farmers, fresh produce and SMEs and are happy to support the event,” said Pilamp.
“As a multicultural financial institution operating in the Pacific and Asia, we ensure the cultures of each country help us develop products and services to suit the banking needs of people,” said Mrs Pilamp.
Manager of the show committee John Bonny thanked BSP for its continued support of the show.
“We can assure you that we will deliver another great cultural event this year. We have taken into consideration Covid -19 and have downscaled the show to cater for much lesser number by moving the location from Kagamuga show grounds to Rebiemul which is smaller. We believe, crowd control will be manageable and the turnout is expected to be great” added Mr Bonny.
The show is set to start on Saturday Sept 4th and end on Sunday the 5th Sept 2021 at Rebiemul.
