BSP donates to Cancer Foundation
The Papua New Guinea Cancer Foundation on Thursday received a donation of K8, 665.40 from Bank South Pacific Asset Management Unit.
Funds presented were raised from a staff initiated morning tea fundraiser that was held on Friday 11th October to mark Breast Cancer Awareness month and raise awareness on cancer.
Priscillar Napoleon, Executive Manager - Papua New Guinea Cancer Foundation, thanked the staff for the initiative and the support of the Bank and its employees.
"As a charitable organisation, PNGCF's work would not be possible without the backing of local companies and individuals. With this funds, every toea will go a long way in saving lives and," said Ms Napoleon.
Head of Asset Management Mukesh Madho said, "The bank recognises the significant health issues faced by many in PNG and are grateful for the work that PNG Cancer Foundation and its partners do in the communities. The awareness is crucial, as we know that early detection can save lives.
