Position Details

About the Role:

The role is based in Port Moresby and reports to the Business Relationship Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible to effectively assist the Insurance Advisors achieve their sales targets and objectives by ensuring the end- to-end processing of Life Insurance New Business and retention of business, as well as providing administrative support to the Business Relationship Manager.

Key Deliverables:
  • Support the Business Relationship Manager and Insurance Advisors achieve sales targets by proactively following up with individual team members on weekly production, policy deliveries and reinstatements.
  • Responsible for the initial vetting of life insurance proposals to ensure that only fully completed, quality proposals are processed.
  • Monitor and attend to requirements raised by the Operations team to maximise conversion to issued policies.
  • Address policies approaching lapse and assist Insurance Advisors retain business by following up and providing support with reinstatements.
  • Ensure proper control of stationery and amenities and high standard of office cleanliness and professional dress code.
  • Maintain an effective filing system and ensure that all relevant information is directed promptly to respective Insurance Advisors.
  • Attend to customer queries directed to the office within specified turnaround time.
  • Prepare and provide weekly updates on new business by Insurance Advisors and send to Business Development team.
  • Conduct Unit Meetings as necessary and oversee the office in the absence of the Business Relationship Manager.
  • Attend to customer service enquiries upon advise by Business Relationship Manager.
Essential Qualifications, Professional/Skills and Experience:
  • Tertiary qualification in Management or Administration with at least 3 years customer service experience;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a good command of verbal and written communication;
  • Proficient Industry and Product Knowledge as well as knowledge of Sales & Service Processes;
  • Proficient skills in compliance, legislation, policies and procedures; Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint); Excellent skills in Record Management.
