PNG Para-athletes
BSP not only support able body sport but also the athletes with disability by continuing its association with the Papua New Guinea Paralympic Committee. In addition to the financial assistance of K100,000 per year, BSP also provide merchandise and people to assist the country's athletes with disability to develop and realised their sporting dream.
Our support to the AWD is also extended down to our branch level where they assist in locating the para sport athlete located in remote areas of the country using our vast network.
2014 support will go into supporting the Para sports team to the Glasgow Commonwealth Games and the PNG Games in November in Lae.
They will also utilise this funds to help prepare the athletics and the powerlifting team by attending other sanctioned international events in preparation for the main international event - Commonwealth Games.
